Brewed Awakenings is the local coffee house in Grand Rapids. They serve various espresso drinks, sweets, sandwiches and soup. At their new location they have started serving Gelato as well. They use fair trade coffee from Alakef Coffee Roasters in Duluth for their espresso drinks. They have all the usual flavorings, but they make a great plain cappucino for the true coffee lover.

Their sandwiches are all on bread from Great Harvest with a variety of choices and the soup is great. Their new space is a great spot to sit and watch the world go by or hangout with friends.

One thing that was missing, once they added free wireless internet service, was a selection of freshly baked sweets. Now, they have added gelato and a variety of fresh baked goods. They also offer baked goods from Great Harvest and a variety of other commercially produced sweets.
